Low-income seniors who don’t have enough Social Security credits may qualify for SSI. Our staff will assist with the application process, renewals, and advocate when there are bureaucratic hurdles to receive those benefits.
Those who were disabled during their working years, may qualify for SSDI. Our staff assists to determine if you are eligible, helps complete the application and compile the required documentation, and advocates on your behalf when needed.

Medicare Enrollments, Advice and Advocacy
Our devoted senior staff provide one-on-one consultations for
soon to be seniors and seniors, walking them through the various
health plans that are available to them and explaining the
advantages and draw-backs that the various options present and
the cost for those plans.
They will help you make the right Medicare choices and assist in
enrolling in the various health plans on time to avoid
penalties.

Seniors have various types of medications, and not all of them
are covered by all Medicare Part D Managed Care plans.
Understanding and calculating the benefits and costs of each
plan, and which are most advantageous for your needs, is a
daunting task.
Our case workers are here to assist by walking you through your
options and reviewing which plan or plans are a best fit for
your personal circumstances. They will assist with enrolling and
renewing with the plan that best serves your needs.
The UJO staff is trained to review each client’s medications and
enroll them in the appropriate plan to cover their medical
needs. They will also advise you on whether to purchase
additional prescription drug plans such as EPIC.
During the annual Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Period, make
sure to contact our staff for a personal consultation to
determine if your current plan will still be the best plan
during the upcoming year, and if not, they will help you choose
the right plan.
Low-income seniors also qualify for Medicaid to supplement their
Medicare coverage. Medicaid covers long term care and many other
services that aren’t fully covered by Medicare. It also covers
co-pays and other out-of-pocket costs. By having Medicaid, you
may also qualify for the Medicare Savings Program which may be
beneficial to cover your Medicare premiums.

Don’t qualify for Medicaid due to a slightly high income? You don’t have to be distressed. Our staff will assist you with identifying the right Medicare Supplement Insurance that will help cover some out-of-pocket expenses, so that you may be eligible for Medicaid. We also assist with Spend Downs and Pool Trusts.
Frail or ill Medicaid recipients may qualify for homecare to assist them with their health needs, through Medicaid CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) and other health plans. Our staff will help guide you through the application process, obtain the proper care, and provide advocacy to ensure you get the required care.
