(UJO) was founded in 1966, as a Family Preservation Center, to help families in need living in the predominantly Chassidic community of South Williamsburg. Today, the UJO serves and represents more than 50,000 community residents and 148 not-for-profit religious, educational, charitable organizations and civic associations that serve the Jewish communities of Williamsburg, Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant. |

| The United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg (UJO) serves as a provider of social and housing services, as well as public health, workforce development and community development services for the Chassidic community in the greater Williamsburg area. We are a one-stop official Family Preservation Center open to all. Our goal as a liaison to public agencies is to strengthen the presence and nurture the growth of this traditional community so that it may continue to contribute to New York City???s diverse cultural fabric. |
